Loitering and Other Events

Frequently, we observe Crossroads clients, visitors and others on or around Mitchell Drive (outside Crossroads property) parking (and remaining in car for periods of time before driving off), loitering, walking down the street and back 5-15 minutes later, etc. While some of these things may be benign as one offs – it is constant and some of it is suspicious. APRIL 8, 2023 | 5:37 to 7:00pm

For almost two hours, a Crossroads client (who was turned away), loitered on the grass on the back side of the wall. Two homeowners asked him what he was doing and if he could wait at the facility. He stayed where he was. Crossroads was contacted and asked about security. They said someone would come out. Nobody did. Someone called the police – they walked around the parking lot but did not address the person. After almost two hours of waiting and “not knowing what to do.” – a homeowner gave him a cell phone to use to call a ride.
